Eating For Energy

Spend time with God
• We are spiritual beings and we are created to be in relationship with God who provides all things.

• Make time to talk with him. He is the ultimate source of our strength.

Eat dark leafy green vegetables and raw foods
• Green is associated with spring, the time of renewal and refreshing, vital energy.
• Greens are full of vitamins and nutrients and great for improving circulation, lifting the spirit, purifying the blood and strengthening the immune system.
• Broccoli, collards, bok choy, kale, mustard greens, broccoli rabe, arugula and dandelion greens are some of the many to choose from.
• Raw foods have life force in them, which are more energizing than cooked, canned or frozen food.

Get physical activity
• Spending energy gives us energy. Get 30-40 min of activity in every day.

Get more sleep and rest and relaxation
• The body needs to rest so it can recharge.

• Make sure you get 7- 8 hours of sleep each night. To help you get your hours in, try going to bed one hour earlier. Its much more effective and more likely than trying to sleep in an extra hour.
